Our family vacation at Laatokan was truly enjoyable. Located by the serene Lake Simpele, it was a great base for outdoor activities. Each morning, we braved the refreshing waters for a swim, and it was an amusing way to wake up! We also dabbled in cycling around the lake, which was a hit with the kids. The personal touch from the owner stood out; they kindly prepped a packed breakfast for us on our early departure. We also indulged in local delights, like smoked salmon and homemade bread, which added a unique flavor to our mornings. With birdwatching nearby and the Parikkala Sculpture Park just a short drive away, there was plenty to explore. The friendliness and accommodation made our stay comfortable and memorable for our family. It was an enriching experience for all of us!
